Welcome to the Bolingbrook Trojan Spirit (cheer & Dance) page. Below I have given some details regarding our spirit program. The spirit page will be updated as often as needed for information to parents.

Instructional Levels Of Cheer and Dance

The Tiny and Mitey Mites are the start of the future for our Midget level of Spirit. During this level the girls will learn the basic principles of cheer, dance and teamwork. These two levels are not a competitive competition team. There will be an exhibition competition gala at this level. At the gala they will perform in front of a large crowd of people and will receive medals for a job well done. There will also be theme characters there to take pictures with your child that can be purchased on the spot. More details will be posted once we receive it from Pop Warner. The gala normally takes place at the beginning of November at a local venue.

Competitive Level of Cheer and Dance

The competitive levels are Jr. Pee , Pee Wee, Jr. Midget and Midget’s. Cheerleaders and dancers will be placed on teams based on age and there development. Competitive level girls have to be really dedicated and ready to give their full participation and commitment to their team. There are 3 competitions Conference, Regional and National. Chicagoland Conference is held in October and you must place 1st, 2nd or third to advance to Mid-America Regional’s. At Regional’s which is held in November, you must place 1st or 2nd in order to advance to National’s. Pop Warners National is held in Florida the first week of December. All Cheer levels will cheer for their level football teams home and away games. The season starts August first and we cheer to the end of Football season. Then reaming part of the season the teams that are advancing will work on competition routine.

Practice

All levels of cheer and dance will practice Monday thru Friday until after Labor Day. The standard time for practice for everyone is 6:00pm until 8:00pm. After Labor Day we go down to only 3 practice days a week and the head coach will determine what 3 days it will be. Practices are held outside until the weather starts to get cold and then we will be indoors at some of the local schools.
